The BB’s started teachin AKS (then named Micro as he was so small) how to Break (Breakdance) and Write (Graffiti Art)! AKS was amazed by the first Burners (outstanding murals) that he saw and the positive message that Hiphop was all about. By age 14 AKS was piecin (creating masterpieces) on the line (train line) and had started writin TICKLE and AXE spelt in a few variations. In 92’ AKS started puttin up USN- Unstopable Nature posse after hookin up wid BEST, RYET and COAST.. Then in 93’ AKS moved to the UK (Milton Keynes) to pursue a career as a pro footballer. There he met JTR and GU and began Emceein for the first time.
Believing in the Hiphop lifestyle allowed AKS to hone his skillz in writin (graffiti art) and emceein (rappin) to a professional level. This inspires people to take part and educates others on what HipHop Kulture really is!
Today AKS lectures on HipHop Kulture and is involved in running workshops as well as producing his own Art in different mediums such as on walls, canvas, in print and design and occasionally sculpture. AKS has also been busy with other members of USN recording their debut LP, ‘Da Burna Mentality’. The LP features tunes such as ‘Switch On!’ which calls out to ‘Switch On!’ to Real HipHop Kulture (www.templeofhiphop.org), Young Boy with its anti-gun theme and In The Beginning, a laid back head-noddin beat with tight lyrics. All this means ‘Da Burna Mentality’ is well worth investigating some more! AKS is at this very moment recording his first solo project and is currently working on a clothing label as well as some Hiphop Kulture literature. So keep an eye out for AKS’ latest work….
AKS is available for Live shows involving his Writin (graffiti art), Emceein (Rappin) and also for Lectures and workshops on HipHop Kulture. AKS can design and create art for many different purposes; from Bespoke canvass and wall art for any type of business or personal use (ie, restaurants, bars, head offices or private collections) as well as his speciality - Street Murals. These can help rejuvenate tagged walls to create a more positive feeling in your local area - AKS calls this, ‘Reducing the graffiti in your area, by producing graffiti in your area! AKS can also help advertise your business in an eye catching way by creating original logos for branding business letterheads and merchandise, album or book cover artwork and tattoo designs … the possibilities are endless!! |
